Ibere Camargo Museum
PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil
This project received the Golden Lion Award in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2002, becoming a model for Brazilian architecture. It was designed to be the home of more than 4000 of Ibere Camargo’s works, with 9 exposition rooms, a recording studio, auditorium and an underground parking garage. The building is made completely of concrete. Façade walls are in white concrete, and the interior is designed in ash grey concrete. Continuity of the façade is interrupted by large catwalks also made of white concrete.
